Add these bars to your holiday baking list! They are easy to make and go so well with an afternoon coffee! This year making them I added an extra drizzle of white chocolate… and I’m not looking back!
Our family LOVES sweets. These bars are a great combo of tart and sweet together!
Ingredients
Brown sugar
Granulated white sugar
Eggs, room temperature
Vanilla extract
All-purpose flour
Baking powder
Salt
Cranberries, fresh or frozen (do not thaw)
White chocolate, roughly chopped
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350. Line a 9 x 13 inch pan with parchment and set aside.
-
In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the melted butter and both sugars. Next, add in the eggs and vanilla and mix until well combined.
-
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Add to the wet ingredients and beat until combined.
-
Add in the white chocolate and the cranberries. Mix until just incorporated. Spread the dough out into the baking pan—Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. The centres should be set and the edges golden.
-
Allow cooling before cutting into bars. If desired, drizzle with extra melted white chocolate. Enjoy with a tall glass of milk!
