Tzatziki

Category: Appetizers
Best for: Dips
Serves: 8

Making tzatziki at home is so easy! Natural Grass Fed Heritage Yogurt, cucumber, lemon, and fresh herbs make up this classic dip! We love to serve this with a Greek dinner or as an appy with fresh veggies and pita as dippers.

If I think ahead or have a bit of extra time,  I like to strain my yogurt for an extra thick and creamy tzatziki!  To do this, line a strainer with paper towel and place it over a shallow bowl. Add the yogurt to the lined strainer and let it sit refrigerated for 1 hour up to over night. By doing this process you will separate the whey out, leaving you with a thick Greek yogurt!

Ingredients
2 Tbsp

Lemon Juice

2 cloves

Garlic, minced

11 Tbsp

Olive Oil

1 tsp

Salt

1/2 tsp

Pepper

1/4 cup

Fresh dill, finely chopped

1 cup

Cucumber, small diced or grated

Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients. Allow flavours to blend for at least one hour in the fridge before serving.

  2. Note: For an extra thick and creamy tzatziki, strain the yogurt before using. To strain: Line a strainer with paper towel and place it over a shallow bowl. Add the yogurt to the lined strainer and let it sit refrigerated for 1 hour up to over night.

  3. Enjoy with fresh vegetables and pita!
