Make a store bought pumpkin pie dinner party ready! First off, take the pie out of the box and toss it! Instead put it on a nice tray or in a pie dish. Next make our homemade crumble for topping.
The crumble is simple to make and is not overly sweet. It adds a yummy crunchy texture to the pie!
Serve the pie with whipping cream!
Ingredients
Brown sugar
All purpose flour
Rolled Oats
Cinnamon
Ginger
Nutmeg
Salted Butter
Chopped pecans
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350. Line a baking sheet with parchment and set it aside.

Melt the butter and set it aside. In a medium bowl combine the brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. Add in the melted butter and stir. Put the mixture in the freezer for 20 minutes while the oven preheats.

Spread the cold mixture into a thin layer on the parchment paper. Bake for 20 – 25 minutes, the edges will look slightly crispy. Allow the mixture to cool on the pan, then using your hands crumble it into small pieces.

Add the crumble on top of your pumpkin pie. To serve, top with whipped cream! Enjoy!
