Who doesn’t love Skor Chocolate Bars? Chocolate and Toffee… now combine that into a cookie… you’re going to love it. It’s a chocolate chip cookie, amped up.
These cookies are also made with browned butter, which gives them an added caramely, nutty flavour AND theres a sneaky ingredient… a package of vanilla pudding mix. This ingredient makes the cookies extra chewy and adds the perfect amount of vanilla flavour.
When it’s someone’s birthday or a special event we love to bake them a batch of cookies and these Skor Cookies are ALWAYS a hit. Sprinkle a dash of sea salt on top for the salt lover in your life!
You can find Skor Chipits at most grocery stores in the baking aisle, next to the chocolate chips.

** This recipe requires dough chilling**
Brown the butter: add cubed butter to a sauce pan over low-medium heat. Once the butter begins to melt, whisk constantly. The butter will foam and then subside. Watch carefully as lightly browned specks begin to form at the bottom of the pan. The butter will have a nutty aroma. When the butter is a deep caramel, remove it from heat and pour it into a heatproof bowl. Place in the fridge to cool while you prep the other ingredients.
-
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, vanilla pudding mix and salt. Set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the butter and sugars and beat for at least 1 minute. Next add in the eggs, and vanilla and beat for an additional minute. -
Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and beat until combined. Next, add in the milk.
Lastly, mix in the skor peices and chocolate chips until combined. Transfer the dough to a ziplock and place in the fridge for 3 hours or overnight. -
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking pans with parchment and set aside.
-
Using a medium cookies scoop, form chilled dough into balls. Bake at 350°F for 10 – 11 minutes. Cookies should be just set. When the cookies are just out of the oven and still hot, reshape them if needed to make them perfectly round. You can also gently press down on them with a rubber spatula if you like a flatter cookie. Let cookies cool on pan for a few minutes minute before transferring to cool on a wire rack.
