This classic dip is made with caramelized onions, cheddar, cream cheese, and a blend of savoury seasonings, creating a rich and flavourful spread that’s perfect for dipping chips, veggies, or even crackers.
Finely chopped onions (3 onions)
Green onions, for garnish
Sauté 3 finely chopped onions in the butter.
Once onions start getting colour, add in salt, pepper and paprika and stir.
Add shredded cheddar and cream cheese. Stir until smooth and set aside until onion mix cools.
In a food processor or blender, add your onion mixture with plain yogurt and mayo. Pulse until smooth!
Note: Dip will might be thin when blending if onions are warm going in, but don’t sweat. Just pop the dip into the fridge for a couple of hours and it will firm right up!
