Here is something you’re going to want to try! Cook your pasta in milk instead of water! This method works for any creamy pasta recipe. Simply swap the water for milk.
Here’s the catch, you do have to babysit your noodles a bit more than you would have to if you are cooking in water. First, you want to make sure you have enough milk to allow for evaporation. Second, keep the milk at a simmer rather than a full boil to prevent from burning. Because of the lower temperature, your noodles will take longer to cook. Make sure you keep an eye on when they are done! Lastly, make sure to be frequently stirring the milk to prevent from burning.
Perhaps one of the most important steps is to save the starchy milk before straining. Add the milk back into your pasta sauce!
This method does take a bit longer, but let me tell you, it makes for a delicious pasta dish!! Oh and make sure you use our Grass Fed Heritage Milk! 🙂
