These cookies are extra chewy and extra delicious! They have two extra egg yolks in the batter and a secret ingredient….. vanilla pudding mix!
Allow 20 minutes of dough chill time in the freezer for these cookies!
My brother-in-law, who has a big sweet tooth, had a special request for an extra chewy cookie! These are for him! He likes to heat them up in the microwave for a few seconds so they are just slightly warm.
Ingredients
All purpose flour
Salt
Baking soda
Vanilla pudding dry mix, 102 grams
Donia Farms unsalted butter, melted
Brown sugar
White sugar
Egg
Egg yolks
Semi-sweet chocolate chips, plus additional for topping cookies
Instructions
-
Whisk together the flour, salt, baking soda and pudding mix. Set it aside.
-
Melt the butter on the stovetop or microwave. Using a stand mixer or large bowl with a stand mixer mix the warm melted butter with the sugars until smooth, approximately one minute.
-
Add in the eggs and egg yolks and combine.
-
Add the dry and wet ingredients and beat on medium speed until smooth. Lastly, add in the chocolate chips.
-
Using a 2 Tbsp cookie scoop, form cookie dough balls. Using your hands, roll them into round balls. Place them on a cookie sheet or plate in the freezer for 20 mins.
-
Preheat oven to 325 while the cookies chill in the freezer.
-
After the 20-minute freezer chill, place the dough balls on a baking sheet, allowing room to spread. Bake the cookies in batches at 325 for 12 to 13 minutes.
When the cookies first come out of the oven press a few extra chocolate chips into the top! Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for 5 minutes or until set before transferring them to a cooling rack.
While your cookies are baking, keep the remaining dough balls in the fridge to prevent them from getting too cold. This will ensure bake time stays the same.
