These sliders have been on repeat this winter for our family… we definitely had to share! They are SO easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. They feature our NEW Grass Fed Heritage Cheddar Cheese and our old faithful Sea Salted Butter.
This recipe calls for sweet rolls. If you don’t find them in your local grocery store, I have used a buttery dinner roll, and they have also turned out great!
Ingredients
Package of Sweet Dinner Rolls.
Ground Beef
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder
Yellow Onion, finley chopped.
Mayo
Kraft Singles or sliced American Cheese
Donia Farms Cheddar Cheese, sliced or shredded.
Donia Farms Sea Salted Butter, divided
Sesame seeds for topping.
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350.
Add 1/2 tbsp butter and chopped onion to a medium saucepan. Saute until the onions are soft, then transfer them into a small bowl.
-
In the pan you used for the onion, brown the ground beef. Add the salt, pepper and garlic. When cooked, drain the fat and add the cooked onion and mayo. Stir to combine then remove from heat.
-
Lightly grease a 7 x 11 baking pan and set aside. Leaving the rolls together, cut them in half creating one large bottom piece and one large top piece.
-
Place the bottom piece of the buns in the baking dish. Top the buns with the kraft singles cheese, using more if needed to ensure it covers the bottom layer.
-
Next, spread the ground beef mixture evenly over the cheese. Top with the Donia Farms Cheddar, using more or less as needed. Make sure there is a good layer of cheese over the entire meat layer. You can use shredded cheese or sliced.
-
Add the top of the buns to make a sandwich. Melt the remaining 2 tbsp of butter and brush the tops of the buns generously. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, then bake for 10 – 15 minutes or until cheese is fully melted. Serve immediately and enjoy!
