Browned Butter Iced Coffee

Category: Drinks
Best for: Drinks
Serves: 2

We are always up for a good iced coffee, especially one that is sweetened with our Browned Butter Syrup! This syrup is just two simple ingredients, browned butter and maple syrup. The combination is a dreamy caramelly taste. It’s so good added to coffee as a velvety smooth sweetener!

But here is the best secret to the perfect iced coffee… make sure you use our 3/25% Heritage Milk! Grass Fed Milk is naturally a bit sweeter, so it leads to an extra smooth coffee; this is something we can really get behind!

Ingredients
1/4 Cup

Maple Syrup

Coffee, or Espresso Shot

Instructions
  1. Brown the Butter: Over medium heat in a small saucepan melt the butter. Continue to cook, stirring continuously. Butter will begin to foam after a few minutes. Continue string until butter deepens in colour to a golden brown. Remove from heat immediately once browned as to not burn.
  2. Allow the butter to cool to room temperature. Add the browned butter to a small container and stir in the maple syrup.
  3. To make your Iced Coffee: Add cold brew coffee (this can be made or store bought), or a shot of espresso to a tall glass. Then add the brown butter syrup and Donia Farms Heritage milk. Froth together until fully combined. Add in some ice and enjoy!

  4. Optional:
Top it off with some fresh whipping cream! Store extra brown butter syrup in the fridge until ready to use. If it solidifies, warm for a few seconds at a time in the microwave until smooth again.

  5. Storage:
Store extra brown butter syrup in the fridge until ready to use. If it solidifies, warm for a few seconds at a time in the microwave until smooth again.
