This latte is going to be your new favourite! It SO good! Not overly sweet, with subtle flavours from the nutty caramelly brown butter, maple syrup and vanilla. The best part about this might be what we call the “brown butter ring.” A bubbly ring of brown butter forms between the layer of coffee and milk foam. It stays there so you get a little bit of that brown butter deliciousness with every sip.
Ingredients
Donia Farms Sea Salted Butter
Maple Syrup
Vanilla Extract
Espresso Shots
Steamed Donia Farms 3.25% Milk
Brown Sugar, for topping
Instructions

Brown the butter: In a small saucepan add the butter over medium heat. Make sure to stir often. After melting, the butter will start to foam. Then, the foam will slowley disappear and you will see the colour start to change to a deep golden. Small specs will form and the butter will have a nutty aroma. Remove from heat. You do not want to burn your butter.

Add the browned butter, maple syrup and vanilla to a small container and stir.

Add 1 or 2 espresso shots to a mug. Stir in desired amount of brown butter syrup. Start with about a tablespoon. * Make sure the syrup is well stirred before pouring into your coffee*

Top with desired amount of steamed milk. Lastly, top the latte with a sprinkle of brown sugar. Don’t skip this part! It is delicious!
