Category: Sweets
Best for: dessert
Serves: 8

We are soaking up every last minute of summer before its back to school and the start of a busy harvest season…but its apple season! That means we’re turning the oven on for a few minutes to make this apple crumble. Its so yummy served with a generous amount of Ice cream or whipped cream… or both!!

Its super easy to make – you done even have to peel the apples! Making it an quick and impressive dessert.

6 cups

Cubed apples (no need to peel!)

1/3 Cup

1 1/2 tsp

1/2 tsp

1 Tbsp

Lemon Juice

2 Tbsp

Sea Salted Butter

2 1/2 Tbsp

1/2 cup

Chopped Pecans

1 cup

1/3 cup

Brown sugar

1 tsp

1/2 cup

Sea Salted Butter, Melted

  1. Preheat the oven to 350. While the oven preheats,  add the apples, sugar, cinnamon salt, lemon juice, cornstartch and 2 Tbsp of butter to a sauce pan over medium heat. Cook for 5 minutes or until the apples are just soft and juices are released, making a sauce. You do not want to overcook the apples!

  2. Pour the warm apples into a 9 inch square pan. Top with the chopped pecans and set aside.

  3. Add the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter to a bowl and mix until combined. Using your hands sprinkle the mixture over the apples and pecans. You want the mixture to resemble a crumble, so work it with your finger tips as you sprinkle.

  4. Bake for 35 minutes. Serve warm with a generous serving of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream or both! For a little extra deliciousness, top with caramel syrup!
