We are soaking up every last minute of summer before its back to school and the start of a busy harvest season…but its apple season! That means we’re turning the oven on for a few minutes to make this apple crumble. Its so yummy served with a generous amount of Ice cream or whipped cream… or both!!
Its super easy to make – you done even have to peel the apples! Making it an quick and impressive dessert.
Ingredients
Cubed apples (no need to peel!)
Sugar
Cinnamon
Salt
Lemon Juice
Sea Salted Butter
Cornstarch
Chopped Pecans
Flour
Brown sugar
Cinnamon
Sea Salted Butter, Melted
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350. While the oven preheats, add the apples, sugar, cinnamon salt, lemon juice, cornstartch and 2 Tbsp of butter to a sauce pan over medium heat. Cook for 5 minutes or until the apples are just soft and juices are released, making a sauce. You do not want to overcook the apples!

Pour the warm apples into a 9 inch square pan. Top with the chopped pecans and set aside.

Add the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter to a bowl and mix until combined. Using your hands sprinkle the mixture over the apples and pecans. You want the mixture to resemble a crumble, so work it with your finger tips as you sprinkle.

Bake for 35 minutes. Serve warm with a generous serving of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream or both! For a little extra deliciousness, top with caramel syrup!
