These cookies are so fun and easy to decorate for some Halloween spirit! Especially when you make them with your kids 🙂 Use any combination of sprinkles to create silly and scary monster cookies! You can find eye sprinkles at most grocery stores, this time of year – but I found ours at Michaels! They are even found on amazon!
To make the mouth of these monster cookies we used a store bought black icing tube. They come in small sizes and are the perfect way to easily create faces.
Another fun idea is to use orange sprinkles and make jack o lantern faces!
The cookies are a vanilla flavour, and come together with a few simple ingredients, including our Grass Fed Heritage Sea Salted Butter! The sneaky ingredient that gives these cookies a soft crumb and delicious flavour is a package of vanilla pudding!

Vanilla
Canola oil
White granulated sugar
Powdered sugar

Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350. Line a baking sheet with parchment and set it aside.
-
In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and vanilla pudding.
-
In the bowl of a stand mixer (or handheld), cream together the butter and both sugars. Once light and fluffy, add the canola oil, egg, and vanilla. Beat for two minutes.
-
Slowly add in the dry ingredients, beating well after each addition.
-
Pour sprinkles out onto a shallow bowl or plate. Using a 1 tbsp cookie scoop, form round dough balls with your hands. Roll the balls in the sprinkles, pressing them gently into the dough if needed.
-
Place on the parchment-lined cookie sheet, allowing generous room for the cookies to spread. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes. Cookies will be barely golden on the bottom when done.
-
When the cookies are fresh out of the oven, add the sprinkle eyes! Allow the cookies to cool completly, Using a ready to use icing tube, or different colour sprinkles, make the mouth for the monsters.
Enjoy with milk!
