Donia Farms Eggnog Recipe
We often get asked if we sell Eggnog during the Christmas season, since we don’t we thought we’d give you a recipe to make your own! This Creamy Eggnog is perfect for your holiday parties, and you can adjust the amount of rum to your liking.

Ingredients
  • 4Cups Donia Farms 3.25% Grass-Fed Milk
  • 5Whole Cloves
  • 1/2Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1Tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 12 Egg Yolks
  • 1 1/2Cups Sugar
  • 4Cups Half & Half
  • 2Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2Tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 2Cups Light RumOptional
Instructions
  1. In a medium-size saucepan combine the Donia Farms Milk, Cloves, the 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla, and Cinnamon. Heat on a low setting for 5 minutes, slowly bringing the mixture to a boil.
  2. Combine in a large bowl the egg yolks and sugar. Whisk this together until it is fluffy then slowly whisk in the hot milk into the fluffy egg yolks and sugar.
  3. Pour the mixture into the saucepan and cook over medium heat constantly stirring until it thickens. It is essential that the mixture does not boil.
  4. Once it has thickened strain, it to remove the cloves and then let cool for at least one hour.
  5. When cooled stir in Half and Half the 2 teaspoons of vanilla, nutmeg and rum if desired Refrigerate overnight.
