Browned Butter Banana Bread
  • 4 Large Bananas(5 medium sized)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2Cup Donia Farms Sea Salted Butter
  • 1/2Cup Maple Syrup
  • 2 1/4 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 3/4 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 1/2Tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2Tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/4Tsp All Spice
  • 1/2Cup Toasted Coconut
  • 1/2Cup Chopped Walnuts or Pecans
  • 1/2Cup Chocolate Chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350. Line Loaf Pan with parchment paper.
  2. Using hand held or stand mixer, mash bananas. Add in eggs, vanilla, maple syrup and brown sugar.
  3. Brown the Butter – In sauce pan over medium high heat, melt the butter. continue stirring until foaming and streaks of golden brown appear. Turn heat down and remove from element. Butter should be golden and fragrant.
  4. Add browned butter to banana mash mixture and combine.
  5. In separate bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  6. Add dry ingredients to wet mixture and stir to combine. Fold in Nuts and Coconut. Do not over mix.
  7. Pour into loaf pan and bake at 350 for 60 – 70 minutes. (Time may very depending on oven). Loaf will be done when knife inserted comes out clean.
